Normally the case at all venues. Attendance is based on ticket sales.

. . . that is only because the school/fans are not willing to pay for production costs which is paid for by advertising . . . if that changed, then there would be no need for TV timeouts . . .

The conference makes the TV deals and there is nothing the university standing alone can do. We show up when, where and how they say. The only way around it would be to go independent.

Get that. But we also can’t tell people how to be fans. The world is changing and fast paced sports just tend to be more interesting. American Football has not caught on globally, there might be a reason for that.

If you watch on ESPN+, they go to commercial that is usually just a static image that says "Commercial Break"
