2000 plus was the official announced attendance. There was good student support however. Back to my question. How can local government stop “subsidizing” the basketball program. It’s not like they can tell the university you can’t play basketball in the CajunDome any longer. I thought the contract allowing so many dates for the university had no end date.
Mhm
It has agreement points in time but they are few and far between. I seem to recall 25 year increments.
The Cajun Dome's stance on concessions is a tourniquet to event viability.
Did you know that the Cajun Dome will not lease the building to an event that does NOT use concessions? It was a practice that was instituted umder Greg Davis and it has cost the city untold millions in lost revenue.
I think court level community suites are genius.
If games were shorter there would be less time to consume more concession items.....
"recall" is right.
This wasn't always the case, Greg Davis implemented the must allow CD consessions rule.
Years ago a convention came to the Cajun Dome and filled up the hotels in Abbeville. I suspect Opelousas, Crowley New Iberia were in a similar situation. Obviously Lafayette.
At the time using CD concessions was not a prerequisite.
