ODU, GaSt and now stAte. That’s 3 clunkers. This team is easily the most talented in the SBC West. It’s not even particularly close either.

There is not a single staff in the SBC that couldn’t take this team and beat their own team by 10 or more.

For the record, I supported the hire, they do great things in certain aspects of the game. But we are not a historically successful program, so slipping up a season or two can kill any momentum this program had had over the last 15 years. I know we have another year with this staff at a minimum, but if they don’t win at least 9 games we are in a serious bind.

God forbid USM actually get rolling again. They will own the north shore and we will be looking a lot like stAte has the last few years. Consistently under achieving. Make no mistake, we’ve been beaten in the field one time this year, Minnesota, every other game we’ve lost. There is a difference and it’s starting to show.

They physically dominated us in the trenches. Their special teams were blowing through our wedge on the kickoffs and knocking Perry’s head off. I know scheme has a lot to do with it but they ain’t got a buncha scrubs bruh.

The sun came up. I got an extra hour of sleep. We have a huge game this Thursday night vs. USM who we have not beat them since 1993. 20 years!!!!!!!!
I will be there with my crew. Lets get to 6 wins this Thursday! The goal now is to get to a bowl and actually win it which would mean that we have more wins than last year. We have to show some improvement on our win total for the sake of the program.

This is taken from the CSNbbs boards from a stAte fan but I love the idea. This fan was responding to what type of trophy the Louisiana/stAte game should fight over. It’s a great idea and would love to see it happen!

There is only ONE option and you can play it one of two ways.

You can go with the "bowl" or "classic" nomenclature or name it for the object/trophy.

RICE

We can play the Rice Bowl, the Rice Classic or battle for the Bag of Rice.

I like the latter because I think the bowl/classic thing has become trite.

Every year I think about this. I plan to make time to go to Ragin Pagin and see if anyone is willing to get on board. If so then go to the ADs.

Rice is the crop that reflects our schools, our heritage, and our fan bases. You can see Centennial Bank Stadium if you were atop the largest rice mill in the country. Arkansas generally produces about half of the nation's long grain rice crop. Used to be couldn't drive a couple blocks without seeing a Have a Rice Day bumper sticker here.

It's a huge crop in southern Louisiana integral to the food culture and heritage of Acadiana.

Makes entirely too much sense.

Games A-State hosts, I bet we could work up some sponsor money for the Riceland Bag of Rice game

or Busch Agri Bag of Rice game and when Louisiana hosts I'm sure there are companies in the area who would likewise want their name on the Bag of Rice game.“
