I liked the look of the youngsters, but last night didn't leave me with a good feeling about this year. Offense looks exactly the same. Dribble drive with 4 players standing around the perimeter, very little movement without the ball. They're gonna win or lose with their 3 points shooting. We'll see.
I know one thing, I won't be buying much beer this year. I ordered my 32 oz before looking up at the prices. All I could do was laugh. No wonder nobody was in line besides me.
I feel like we are are beating a dead horse here cause really nothing we say here is gonna change the way the Cajundome is operated. That said I would like to thank the Cajundome and Sedoxo for making sure I got to work on time and sober this morning. LMFAO. Unlike skeeter I had pulled out my wallet but caught myself when I saw the prices. 5 years ago when beer was $9 I would just laugh and buy everyone a round. I would drink at least 4 myself and then go on to make more pour decisions later that night.
We talk about affordability but there is more to it than just that. Almost everyone on here who is a die hard fan can afford a night out. It's the value verse cost extrapolated over the entire season. $18 for beer when it takes me at least 2 to get a buzz going. Naw $36 is two cases of ultra or a nice bottle of Jameaux, my cozy big screen and ESPN+. Now I'd missed the great company of the Raging Rowdies but we can make up for it away games which are so much better
This is the cost of operating a venue at 1/10 to 1/8 of its capacity on a regular basis.
Back to the game itself, I was disappointed the Landry kid didn't jack up a 3 in the closing seconds. I know good sportsmanship and all that but if your down 30 and your still run traps and presses at the end like you've been running all half... You really deserve a half court haymaker and Curry scream celebration. Lol.
