The spread moved specifically because Arkansas State announced that their 3rd leading reciever (TE Emanuel Stevenson) who had 18 catches and 2 TD's on the season broke his fibula vs ULM and is out for the season. Stevenson was not a deep threat option but was a great safety valve for a young QB in Jaylen Raynor. This is a huge loss for the Red Wolves. 3 games this year, Stevenson had 4+ catches, vs Memphis, UMASS and Coastal. This is a guy in 3 seasons at TE at stAte had 53 catches for 396 yards and 4 TD's before going out this year. He was on pace to his biggest year yet for the Red Wolves. Tough loss for the Red Wolves.

They are still talented all over the offensive side of the ball specifically with Corey Rucker and Courtney Jackson at WR, both have over 20 receptions this eyar and Jackson has 6 TD's.

With Stevenson out, Miller McCrumby and Kevin Diaz will have to pick up the slack. McCrumby has 5 catches for 64 yards on the season and Diaz has 1 for 8 yards.

No, I agree, I think that might have been part of the line moving. This would be similar to us losing a Neal Johnson for the year except we have a little more depth at the TE then they do. A young QB loves his TE as a safety valve and not having that safety valve means someone else is going to have to step up.

Raynor (the young A-State QB) has a lot of similarities to Zeon Chriss, specifically from him athletic ability. He has been a nice surprise since they lost their starting QB earlier in the season. This team has been able to move the ball well through the air, but has struggled some in the running game, although Raynor has helped with that lately. Defense has also been a problem as they give up 466 yards per game and almost 34 points per game. They are only converting 33% of 3rd downs so that has been a problem as well.

I think the Cajuns win this one, but it might be closer earlier than we think and then the Cajuns pull away late.

I am thinking 39-17.
