I agree. That wasn’t a slight at Zeon whatsoever either. The kid is the best player on the field. Until he can read and pickup defenses faster in real time, there will be a learning curve. He’s young…it’s expected. I’m curious as to what South will do that they haven’t shown yet on film. Will they force Zeon to beat them with his arm? I believe they will. Will Zeon be able to pickup on the disguised blitzes and audible at the line? This will determine the game, IMO.
If the players fail to execute a game plan. I can see the loss being pinned on them.
ODU, we got schooled on the defensive side of the ball. 3 TDs given up when we weren’t even in pre-snap position. Our CBs were still inside the hash marks when the ball was snapped.
That’s a lack of preparation for the scheme you were supposed to be playing. It was terrible.
Let’s talk last week, this staff is the very best in the SBC at scripted series to start the game and 2nd half. It’s not even particularly close either. We had 37 total yards of offense at half. Let that sink in. 37!!!
We are staring at Bustle years.
Geaux UL Ragin Cajuns!
If Chriss can avoid those critical interceptions he has thrown in every game he's started so far, then maybe we have a chance. Better playcalling wouldn't hurt either.
For the record, I think we win. But I’m really frustrated with losing games we have no business losing.
