Des will not take players back once they have been cleared by NCAA for portal entry. After the initial portal entree submission by player the school does have an approx 72hr window to try to convince a kid to stay if they truly want them to stay, but after that the player gets formally enrolled by NCAA in portal. After that occurs, des cannot and will not take players back. Sets too bad of a precedent for others and just cannot be done for anyone.
