And this is kind of my point. All of these guys are talented and were good high school players. That's why I questioned Boomer's unwavering belief that he will automatically be a great player here. Now, because he's struggling now doesn't mean he won't get it with time, that's what player development is all about but to just assume that a kid is going to come in here and just pick up where others left off is just hope at best.

    Stevenson transferred to Ohio State

I'm not familiar with the Josh Stevens kid. Are you talking about Josh Stephenson who plays baseball at LSU?
    He's at Ohio State.

Yeah, well I just didn't know who he was referencing. No idea who Josh Stevens is.

My goodness, we’ve all seen talent at one level not translate at the next level. Tim Tebow is the poster child for that, outstanding college player, washout in pros. Many called that shot.

This notion that we aren’t giving STM players a serious look is just a complete fallacy. We had 3 STM grads on our roster just this year. 2 were serious contributors. Let’s look at the Texas State game. Burton starting at Center. Cambre making the play of the game. Where were all the STM faithful to cheer on those guys? Announced crowd of just over 15, and we all know it was way closer to 10. Where were all the people to support the local talent on the field when we played Troy last year? I bet I could tell you.

I consider both Wooldridge and Fields mobile QBs. There is a big difference between their running ability and Delhomme's running ability which was non-existent.

If we continue to use the zone read and spread options, the QB just has to be mobile enough to keep the defense honest.

I never mentioned anything about attendance…just little Jimmy.

I'm sure you can post examples of STM athletes like Fleming playing here and their families supporting them attending games. Again, my point is it isn't a large number of people showing up to watch them play.

Elijah Mitchell is another example from Erath. I would see his mother at games with 6 or 7 family members, not exactly the entire town.

But there have been a few examples of large number of family members support on game days like Bralen Trahan. His family had a large tent close to the North Endzone every game. Many of them wearing a Cajun Jersey with his number. But overall signing local athletes doesn't bring long term commitment from their supporters or family members.

And you honestly believe we aren’t giving Little Jimmy a look despite all the evidence to the contrary?
