While he struggled at times to throw the football, all of it wasn't his fault. He is at his best and is really good running the RPO and not throwing from the pocket, much like the early years of Levi. The defense played 7 in the box most of the night and shut down the run game. We can expect more of the same this week against USA. The offense ran the RPO to the right side of the formation 4 times Saturday night and he completed all 4 of those passes to the TE including a TD to Carter. The interception at the end of the game was the same play but to the left of the formation. I don't understand why they would run it to the left of the formation when the defense considering the success of running the RPO to his right during the game, other than to give them another look. It was open, but he had not thrown it to that side of the formation most of the game.

Bottomline, it is the staff's responsibility to game plan around his abilities and don't ask him to do things he is not comfortable with, including throwing from the pocket. Your left tackle is playing on one leg and can't hold blocks for any period of time.
Didn't the coaching staff rave about the O line depth?

It doesn’t make any sense. Especially with the way Zeon was having success with the RPO to the right as some of you have pointed out. Very frustrating
Poor coaching. You keep running to the right side until they stop you.

Coaches rave about positions all the time; you take it with a grain of salt. But good defensive coordinators will try to take away your strength, it's up to the staff to find ways to make them adjust.

If you have access to the replay. Several plays will show it’s just little reads. Go to the play with 6:45 left in the game. Z has a TE running a middle route but covered, a WR running down the side line with a DB breathing down his neck, and another WR running vertical down the middle with 4 steps on the DB trying to cover him. If he hits him we could have struck up the band. Instead he through a 50/50 jump ball to the WR on the sidelines and punted the next play.

I saw this watching live but wanted to see it on replay before posting to make sure I saw what I thought I saw. It’s little things that hopefully will come with maturity. I have a screen shot but have no clue how to post on here just copying from photos and pasting never works.

The benefits to being able to see a replay or from another angle in the stadium make it much easier to see what the players sometime miss during the heat of action.
