Way to Geaux Kevin Dotson.
Athletic department needs to be marketing the s*** out of these when they happen..
Guys like Dotson spent years at UL blowing open holes big enough for a bus to drive thru. If he portal'd out to Florida would his highlight reel look as impressive?
How many guys leave here and go to P5 programs, then have their NFL draft stock improve?
The most comparable example would be O'cyrus Torrence. Dotson and Torrence were both 1st Team All Americans at the same position. 1 got it here and the other got it after transferring
Also at the same position, Robert Hunt stayed and got drafted at #39 as a tackle/ guard while Torrence got drafted at #59 from Florida.... I don't think the transfer helped him get drafted any higher
In both cases, you can be an All American and get drafted just as high from UL as an SEC school if you perform and have the physical measurements
If there was a comprehensive "star" rating tracking system, g5's could receive credit when for ex, we improve a 2 or a 3 into a solid nfler (4) or even hall of fame caliber (5).
Meanwhile it would be able to show recruits how many of the folks at p5 that were 4s and 5s dwindle away down to nothing. Almost as if the so called big money coaches are actually not better coaches. If you define coach as coaching a player not as winning games, raising money, managing program, etc, not saying those aren't important but maybe a different title is needed to describe, the stars system could be one aspect of rating coaches just on coaching

One of the best moves for the Los Angeles Rams this season has been the trade for offensive lineman Kevin Dotson. Dotson has been starting at right guard since Week 4 and been one of the best all-around offensive linemen in the NFL during that time period. Dotson has been the fifth-highest graded guard via Pro Football Focus since he became a full-time starter for the Rams.
