I wasn't even the one who made it a big deal. I was making a totally independent point and used the name issue (as well as other issues) as an example. But it apparently struck some sort of nerve.

Summary: you are not a fan of the school whose message board you are on yet you create a username and begin posting. The reaction is rarely proportionate towards the curious who obviously can only see things at face value.

It's hard to differentiate from the genuinely curious and those who ended up being agenda driven, there have been dozens and dozens of the latter since the site started 21 years ago.

Your idea of how to initiate a level-headed conversation:

1. Call other people obsessed and weird. They are obviously gonna be on board for that and ready to converse with you.

2. When they point out the blatant hypocrisy in calling them obsessed given the history of the situation, your response will be, “oh maybe you’re right but still you shouldn’t care so much.”

3. When they say, “whoa. Wait. Isn’t it weird and obsessive to be concerned with what other people think and care about” it’s time to bust our your victim card.

No part of you can fathom that how you approached this would be annoying? I honestly have no idea if you’re trolling or not. If you’re being serious, feel free to reach out and I’ll buy you a beer at an upcoming game. I promise I’m not a complete, deranged loon. This was just a bizarre approach, IMO. Have a nice day.

Yes. People in the community are going crazy over vintage Cajun/Bulldog gear. We have finally got the public's attention and they are eating up Cajun merchandise. It's freakin' awesome. Yet, some here want to stop this train because of personal agendas.

People of Raginpagin, do not listen to the negative naysayers. Buy as much Bulldog swag as you can and wear it proudly! They will never take away who we are again!

The people who are saying you are ULL are the same people who are saying you SHOULD be USL and even SLI references through the last 20+ years.
