A G5 team playing a P5 team once a season doesn’t make the G5 program a major college football team. That’s the best answer I can give.

He is right!! I don’t have to agree. The majority of people agree with him. The average fan the casual football fan agrees with him. Y’all may not like it but he is right. That’s the perspective.

So if he is right what can we do to combat the situation!

1. One we have to play teams that casual fans have heard of, or that can bring a big crowd, or is a major program McNeese, Southern, Grambling, LaTech, LSU, Arkansas etc.

2. The game day experience has to be top-notch. Tailgating, food, drinks, amenities in and out of the stadium.

3. Ease getting in and out of parking and getting in and out of the stadium.

4. Prices for tickets, tailgating etc.

Do we need to go on? We all talk about it on the same forums ! It’s the administration that needs to take action to get us to the next level.

But when the bulk of the group of P5 play the bulk of their independent schedule against G5s they are suddenly Major when they get back together again.

I am not saying we are not a Major University.

What seperates us from LSU?

Atheltic Budget, Conference, Wins and Losses, Attendance etc.

What do we need to do to get to that level ? We talk about everyday on this forum.

Look it is not impossible we can do it, just how can we get to that level.

So let’s name Major Universities that have made it to say High Major University level?

Louisville, TCU, Cincinnati, UCF, Houston, Memphis, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Rutgers, Baylor, Duke, NC State, Virginia Tech, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Oregon State, Washington State, Mississippi State etc.

All were consider Major and have reached High Major, we need to do everything to become a High Major University.

What did they do that is different then what any other University?
