Vintage SLII (transition) to UL

I don't see any SLII references anywhere but since the Vintage 125 effort is happening, I thought I would do an absolute vintage transition from SLII to UL.

The SLII logo was the official logo when the school opened and the UL transition is the logo that would have been a natural transition.

That is a different topic, this was done in the spirit of "Vintage."

With no U there would be no smooth transition from past to present, which is ironically where we find ourselves today.

As the “I”s connect have the L also slide down. Boom.

I like it alot. I like the fact that it's unique when compared to U of Louisville, which has the typical U higher than the L.

I like it a lot too. The greeks should make it their official UL logo. Imagine the three verticals as greek parthanon pillars.

While the SLII logo (before I transition it into UL) was the official school logo, it looks like it took a while to get the official logo on the football uniforms.

ps Who knew Louisiana started the dreadlock look in 1905.

Both of the official pics were from apparel.

The SLII from early 20th Century and an early attempt by USL to come up with a vintage look. which they soon abandoned.
