Exactly! I'm certain fans enjoy these fall games but there is very little competition here. The level of competition does not challenge your team against the type of talent you will face in a regional and super regional. If this is who you are playing in the fall, they are better off with dividing the team and continuing to scrimmage against each other.

They do that every Sunday at 4pm. Every now and then you need to face someone else.

Of course they do, and they are better off continuing than facing talent that is not much better than high school players.

They still have two games against McNeese and Se Louisiana. Do you consider those teams better than high school?

Absolutely. Does that need to be asked? That fact doesn't take away from the fact that playing noncompetitive talent does very little in preparing to play better opponents during the season. You can get better repetitions against better talent daily, there is no need to play JC's just to play different teams.

I think, on the outfield wall, are the six years LSU-E won the National Championship in their division.

Maybe the Cajuns are just that good. The team also has a budget that they need to stay within, so maybe that factors into who they play.

Yes, and if you have ever seen their roster and watch them play before would you know that the talent level is vastly different than the Cajun roster at any time in recent years.

I understand the budget restrictions, I have been following this program longer than you, my friend. But I also understand repetitions against less talented teams has limited value. You are only tested by playing in your division, and against good talent.
