You would soon see other brands within the current ACC bolting for the B1G/SEC/Big12 if these additions were made.

Not very surprising, Tulane has been on pretty much every conferences (minus SEC and Big 10)s expansion list.....

Although i certainly question the accuracy of this particular writer

    Good advertising for recruits.

Nothing to lose and everthing to gain by creating the image of non-stasis.

Saw they (Tulane) snagged the #1 MBB recruit in LA too. Did NIL wake their athletic department up from a 58-year slumber?

Or will they regress after the departure of their AD to Washington?

. . . they have alumni with deep pockets . . . that does not always translate to donors . . . especially in athletics at Tulane . . .

Well, the AAC keeps becoming less and less attractive.

Well, this is a media consultant giving his opinion and trying to influence the ACC. None of those the programs elevate the ACC. They simply are back filler should the worst-case scenario.

Like T said, this is a worst case scenario list. If the ACC needed schools, they would turn to UCF, Cincy and West Virginia before anybody else, and those schools would say yes. ACC >>>> Big 12 in terms of future stability.

USF and Tulane are cultural fits in the ACC. The others aren’t.

Who happens to be agreed Williams, former Cajuns brother. I guess Marlin slept on him and thought he was a shoe in.

If they were fits, the ACC presidents would have considered them. Tulane and USF have kept their name out there by using media consultants, beginning with the Big 12. It's a smart thing to do, but it's simply keeping their name out there.
