RESPECT should only be played where Aretha performed.

    E. K. L.

    ... Out of respect.

If we are trying to establish traditions, this is the way you do it.

If you play the song and no one cares well it just goes away.

If it catches on then you do it over and over and over time it becomes a tradition !

    Play it see what happens

How did Respect become a theme song for USL?

The reasons why alot of traditions come from the 60’s and 70’s it became popular around that time so they kept doing it and now it’s a tradition.

Nothing wrong with establishing new traditions

GATA for example came from a coach at GS which means Get After That _____. They did it year after year and became a tradition.

You’re right…even if yardage was lost or a penalty.

You mean like the football team singing Set it Off in the locker room after a win, and the band playing the song at a Football Game, and everyone likes it and we keep doing it ? That’s how a tradition might start?

If no one likes it just goes away .

As long as they show some RESPECT! That's how it's done.

Didn’t this all start by TxSt talking something in the first place and not respecting us ?

May not be the reason, but I thought I saw something to that effect? I don’t know if that’s why they sung it ?
