We need more action during dead air moments.. especially leading up to kickoff in each half
- Viking chant: https://youtu.be/9Oo9pkFo6hI?si=OPqcR4_di1S9zsos
- We Love Ya (change "U.S." to "Cajuns"): https://youtu.be/W0EXwE6cDAk?si=iuk14v98JgYAizl6
- before kickoff, have some 'celebrity' come out to midfield and do the Who Dat pregame chant that Saints do before kickoff. Alternating Chants of "Ragin" and "Cajun" between North and South endzone.. shoot the fireworks off for each side when it's their turn
- switch the AC/DC that's been played to death with some other stuff.. ex. For Whom the Bell Tolls instead of Hells Bells
More songs with instrumental slow buildups:
Lunatic Fringe
Tool - Schism
Parallel universe - RHCP
Show a video of a drum line member in a Cajuns football uniform playing the drum part of "In The Air Tonight" on the big screen
Bring back the freakin Wolf of Wall Street chest bump chant
One thing I've never seen anyone do.. Start a New Orleans style second line parade at the beginning of the RV lot and make its way all the way to the bandstand in front of Tigue, rounding up people who are loafing around streaming the game on TV 15 minutes before kickoff. Bonus points if you can get a few members of the marching band to lead it
My kids refer to the baseball games as "the ones where we sing that song" (put me in coach). They remember 3 minutes of the entire game and it's the part with crowd engagement
Also, can the DMV offer a traffic violation removal with an attendance to a UL football game?
All of that would be great. Especially the music part
I've noticed they keep playing that white stripes seven nation bs. I'm guessing they're trying to get the crowd to do that chant but thankfully the crowd hasn't taken the bait on it (it's super lame and played out in the Midwest). The idea of that is good but the selection is stale
We're screaming into the ether, boys. Besides. There's already a blueprint on how to get butts in the seats. There was someone already here that did it. When he got here, the numbers went up. When he left, they went right back down....despite us winning more. Hell, he wasnt even "one of US". Yet, he still did it. Strange, huh? It's like tracing a picture instead of trying to freehand it. You'd think the administration could've figured this out. But alas, we are dealing with the most braindead, inept, apathetic administration in the country. They can't stop stepping on their own d!c&. But this admin won't look at how Hud did it. They don't care. It's painfully obvious. If they really did, the effort would be apparent. But in fact, it is the opposite. Their efforts, more often than not, are actually keeping people away, rather than drawing them in. What does that tell you? There are literally hundreds, maybe thousands of ideas just here on this board. A 12 year old, could copy and paste some of these to improve things. They don't want to. It's painful to say it, but it's the truth. And the sooner you accept this as the truth, the better off you'll be.
Hud started hot and got us to places the program had never been. Of course it was exciting and something people wanted to be a part of. He also didn’t have to keep people from watching at home. We weren’t on espn+ every week in those days.
And lastly. Hud lost the same following he gained. He wasn’t filling the stadium the last 2 seasons.
So
1. The winning and bowls are no longer first time things.
2. Espn+ broadcasts of our games and or just all the tv games to watch in general, are directly pulling butts out the seats. Hud era really didn’t have to fight that.
3. Hud was a part of the turning away of longtime fans we still haven’t gotten back.(and to that point, the team march under billy didn’t help his cause with filling the stadium)
4. This is my opinion. The cheerleaders cheer. The football coach coaches. I want wins, not coach led ticket drives …… coaching is a full time job. Let the coaches do their job.
