I think we should go back to making the majority of the parking lot first come first serve and tailgating free to bring back the party vibe. If we can’t get people in the gates we surely won’t get them in the stands. #MakeTailgatingGreatAgain

. . . Cathedral had football . . . Fatima had no football from 76 to 82 for sure . . . Ricky Broussard was the basketball coach and they played basketball in Division B (if they would have had football, they would habe been in Division A) with Maurice, Arnaudville, Centerville, Leonville, E. Broussard (they had a girl on the JV in 77) Holly Rosary Institute . . .
I was of the opinion we needed to make as much as we could from the tailgating and parking. But I was wrong. We should look at tailgating like Costco looks at their cheap hotdog meal. Use it to create the desire to be there and then work on getting people into the game itself. Tailgating prices should be drastically reduced and advertised heavily as such.
I do not have a tailgate spot but we make do. We put ice chest in a wagon along with snacks chicken or what not. And chairs we just go next to the band stand and set up and have a good time. So there are ways to deal with it just have to think outside the box it works for us and sometimes we have 12- 16 people in our group only had six Saturday.
Same here. I was a loyal trooper with our response to the Alden Report to raise funds a certain way. Hey, we took our shot at doing things like Major programs across the country. I think we can say now that approach doesn't work in Acadiana for this university.
Accept who we are. Embrace our Culture. We'll get there a different way. OUR way.
