I've learned a long time ago (mostly from my wife) that you shouldn't tell any one to get over anything.... its up to them to decide. I will just say the whole thing was blown out of proportion, especially Huds comments about it. I am not a Trump fan and could care less what was said about him, he deserves any ____ slung at him, but i also understand it wasnt necessarily what was said just more what was going on in the locker room and the environment. That doesnt fly when losing...of course Hud has other baggage that would probably prevent him from ever being hired here again so this is all a moot point anyways.

No, there are way more signs in lafayette and louisiana than other parts of the country.

Also people in other parts don't often wear college sports team clothes to work

    A. Associate AD wears MANY MANY hats, that position will never have one job.
    B. Hud has too much baggage (other than the Trump video) to be hired here imo

Hud is set for life financially, living on the beach, coaching/leading a football program. No way he comes back to be a suit.

Dude is a football coach and will probably be a football coach until he's 80.

Random Guy: "This person has too much baggage to be welcomed over here."

    Coach Robe: "Disagree."

I personally think people would welcome him with open arms!

Time to mix it up a little

I would want him hired the year we open the new stadium. That guy was born to motivate. The spike in donations/ticket sales would be astrnomical.

I would love to see Hud in that #2 AD role outlined. Forgive the past.....look forward. He was very honest and contrite in his interview with Ragin' Review crew last year. His ramp up to full speed would be by far better than anyone not familiar with the Lafayette region business community.

Most people do forgive over time.....it's human nature. When it comes to Hud, I'm one of them.

Same here. Plus, I’d like to go to some of his parties.

    Me TOO.
I was not a fan for his last two seasons here. He peaked, plateaued, then sank. He was great his first 2-3 years. Then add the locker room crap, the private life stuff, and other things mentioned on this board, and it was time to GO -- as COACH. But if Auburn can hire Hugh Freeze, UCF- George Whats-His-Name (ND resume fraud), and others, WE can hire Hud to do this IF IT BENEFITS UL -- and it does!
Although there are those who will not think this way, they are the same Admin types who would rater cut off their noses to spite their faces....
