Y’all who listen, when UL topics are coming up let us know. Tim said he was working on getting UL folks on his show. Other than that, a big swing and miss. Meantime, I’ll listen to another TSM media with the stale television ad, “the new home of W&J”…John Walton died in 2019, which post dates the ad.

On the BIG10 broadcast last weekend, they had a few guys in the studio at halftime. The network called us Louisiana. 2 of the 3 studio hosts called us Louisiana. The third guy, freakin' Dinardo, made sure to call us ull.

For the last 2 days on 103.3 the Tim Fletcher show has cut off at around 8:35 am and local commercials continuously run until national programming takes over at 9:00. Today it cut off at the beginning of an interview with Coach McCullough of Acadiana High. I'm starting to like parts of the Tim Fletcher show and he is making an effort to include things that Lafayette listeners would be interested in. This additional glitch along with others like dead air time and two commercials running at the same time make it difficult sometimes to continue listening on a regular basis. I understand technical difficulties and human error issues happen but they seem to have way more than other stations. Hopefully these issues can be corrected soon or their viewership will decline from sheer frustration associated with these problems.

Media automation has rarely lived up to its billing.

    Very frustrating.

On the other side of the coin, humans have been known to fall asleep on overnight shifts.

Failed automation when there is staff in the building is unacceptable.

Recorded block segments might be Cajun focus but won’t grow listeners.

Caught one last week, the mumbling idiot in the background was distracting, no attempted interaction with callers, never gave out number. Obviously plug and play.

Going to have to do better than that.

With podcasts and satellite radio these days, how many people are still listening to traditional radio? I can't believe that number is very significant. I know I don't. Sports radio is mostly dead to me.

Agree with you Turbine. I still like to listen to Billy on Saturday and The Bandit on Sunday but these automation problems are making it tough to stay tuned sometimes.

The old Don and Mike radio show out of WJFK used to play clips of Larry King's nightime radio show when he would fall asleep on air or have incoherent ramblings because he was so tired. Hilarious.

Man I haven’t heard those names in years. I would listen to D&M every day.
