Thread: NIL

  1. Default Re: NIL

….I don’t think I have seen a partial solution for the NIL, but what if the school getting a kid has to PAY A FEE to the school he is taken from….well how much could be a % of the amount given to the kid…the amount of money(presumably the better the player) will fluctuate with the NIL bid!…….25% for $100k gives the school losing the athlete $25K …..Sure would help to have that every year the kid is at the new school……why didn’t I think of this before?

. . . Yes . . . I have repeatedly said that at Louisiana, with respect to the good ones, we can keep them around only until somebody else wants them . . .

. . . and with the $$$ being offered when they want them, the loyalty discount only goes so far . . . even the lay ally discount is all but wiped out . . . then consider the benefit to plaintiff attorneys to hang their advertising on super star jock . . . we really stand no chance . . .

That would mean the ncaa has to acknowledge the schools are involved. Allegedly they are not supposed to be involved.

Now, this NIL thing will start getting ugly.

    “Not furthering education”…

End of page 11 and 12 bodes well for the IRS.

Wow. However, of branding is in fact everything, could everything a college athlete does be considered as affecting their brand and thus every penny spent could be deducted as a business expense since NIL is their business?
