It was a terrible decision to hire a HC with no college HC experience mainly because we were at the top of the G5 at the time in 2021. Des has had to learn on the job for these last 4 years and it has been painful to watch. Still hoping Des can get this bowl win and 2026 we can get to a SBC championship and win that thing.

I believe Napier may have supported Des to be HC, but I believe it was all Maggard and T-Joe that thought putting a homegrown inexperienced, unmotivating, weak-recruiting, former player would somehow be successful. But, they were wrong, like many warned from the beginning.
