I’m watching a replay of the tx st usm game.
Tx st opened the game with a 101 yard KR td.
Then usm had a tipped pass int on their first play at their own 20. Tx state scored a td.

So tx st was up 14-0 in 3 minutes with 20 yards of offense.

Bobcats are mistake prone. They will make mistakes and Cajuns need to take advantage of them.
. . . they must be in the 10% that didn’t do the dorm thing for camp . . .

I personally don’t like needing a win when you already beat a team 10 times in a row.

To put the dominant wins in context:

Louisiana has played Texas State 10 times and won all 10, outscoring the Bobcats 385-148. The closest margin of victory was 10, but averaged 23.7 points.

Louisiana has never trailed Texas State at the end of any quarter. In other words, the Cajuns either led or were tied with TXS at the end of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and (obviously) 4th quarters.

Of the 10 games, Louisiana has trailed in only 4:

    - 2015: TXS led by 7 twice for combined 16:39 in 1st half

    - 2016: TXS led by 3 for 8:58 in 1st quarter

    - 2020: TXS led by 7 for 4:49 in the 1st quarter

    - 2022: TXS led by 3 for 6:26 in the 1st quarter.

Louisiana has never trailed in the second half in the 10 games.

I think there will be some firsts this Saturday.

History isn’t always an indicator of the future. Investors are reminded of that every time an investment firm makes endless wins in the marketplace. New coach, new university president who wholly backs the football program. Yeah the only thing that I can count on is what’s going on now.

Obviously. The message was about the past wins, not about what I expect

Finley has been sacked 11 times this season. 7 of those came in their lone loss to UTSA. Needless to say,we need to get to him early and often. We’ve done a good job of that so far this season.
Texas state not as good as their record so far would imply.

    Cajuns 38
    Texas state 31

Heard CMD say that he was 6’7”. I thought he was a smaller version of Cam Newton but he’s bigger.
