We need to take notes. Only D1 program to under report attendance. Put freaking turnstiles in with a counter. In the 4th quarter, ask a 5th grader to walk around, write down the numbers on the counters on a piece of paper, add them up, and bring that paper to a university official.
Or, just count tickets sold?
I watched most of the Monroe game. There were more like 10k and that’s generous. Exciting game, though.
You got several Lafayette Parish High Schools with Homecoming next weekend. I know STM, Southside, and TC for sure. Maybe a couple others. That may dip into the crowd some as mothers are usually busy that day. Southside and TC both have dances in the CD and convention center which make it even better that the game is early.

Order up a trail ride and have a food truck rally at CF...that'll pack em in...
We do not underreport attendance. We are just horrible at engaging with our community.
. . . engagement is fine with the 18,000 or so that are interested . . . beyond that, oh well . . .
I might not be at the game. Or at least all of it. My daughter is going to homecoming at Acadiana. And apparently I have to watch her take pictures with some little dork dude she will forget about in 6 weeks before they go off to a dance in a gym. Might go to game and leave at half like everyone else does.
Are we really doing a blackout for a 2:30 kick. That’s stupid.
Just looked. Saturday hi 82!!! Like that. Blackout won’t be as stupid.
Disaster averted.
Then again, the decision was made not knowing the temp.

We have to understand that we can get 15-20k of actual fans. The students must get into the 4-8k range.
That’s the only way we start seeing larger crowds. This university has stepped on its dick enough times to not have a real substantial base. They don’t seem to care either. We need a seismic shift in our approach to getting people to show up.
Until we can figure how to accomplish that, we will struggle.
