I find it ironic and hypocritical to hear the UMN head coach complaining about NIL and the portal. Yes he may lose a great talent but look at his roster and see how many transfers he's poached from smaller schools. We jump on Sunbelt Billy for taking two talented guys from us but Maction PJ is still raiding Western Michigan in his 7th year. Dude is supposed to be a great recruiter and motivator. Really he has no legs to stand on here

That is the right approach.

If a staff can coach up a 2-star, they can certainly rehabilitate a bench riding 4-star.

Since the 2017 NFL draft, 468 four-star recruits have been picked or 36.2% of the total — even though they make up only 2.8% of the number of recruits. The draft rate of four-star recruits over the past five years is 22.1%.

It would make sense that more three-star recruits have been selected over the years…since they make up a larger part of overall recruiting classes each cycle. Its not the number of those that get in the NFL, its the failure rate of those who don't make it out of college.
