    I only brought up the comparison because RaginScotsman brought up people driving over to TSAB to RV tailgate instead. I'll go to war over lowering traditional tailgate spot costs (to even free in some areas) along with anyone but owning an RV and not being able to hand over $400 for a premium spot does not resonate with me.

    Edit: To park in lot B (which is the same distance as the RV lot), you have to pay $3060 plus season tickets. That's $510 per game. For a little perspective.

    Edit 2: There's obviously a market for RV casuals that don't want to pay $400/game. I know one personally. They used to bring their RV to Blackham when that was open. So maybe open up a cheap single-game RV location over there.

    Edit 3: I bet if we had an outbound sales team, we could snipe up some of those Acadiana RV folks crossing the Basin if they knew we had $400 single-game spots.

    You have to make it valuable before you can charge high prices. You can only charge what people are willing to pay, that’s capitalism. I think our admin has a abnormally high (incorrect) value associated with football stadium ancillary items. We need to build a TRUE fan base then people will spend money because of the value it is to them. If you could care less then it’s not worth anything.

    $400 right next to stadium with hookups doesn't seem bad in comparison (more like a steal). Maybe offer $100-$250 spots at Blackham for less premium RV spots? Did that during Hud's tenure.
    That makes sense. I just saw the post, but when you consider location the argument kind of loses is substance when you add some context.

    Everyone who keeps saying "our prices are in line with blah blah blah" needs to read the comments on these posts..

    Person after person saying "who in the world can afford to bring their family to these games?"

    The only value for UL sports is thru season tickets, and for anyone between 25-40 with a young family, season tickets are about as feasible as saying "I'm sure my kids won't have ANYTHING going on on 8 straight Saturdays"

    What comments/posts? You talking Facebook? I don't have FB.

    The demographic that has RV spots aren't your typical family in my opinion. I agree traditional tailgating costs should be reduced greatly.

    RV spots at Cajun Palms are $150/night with a 3 day/2 night minimum stay if you're spending a Saturday. That's $362 (went do a booking on their website). That is very comparable to a spot at UL with a hookup that allows you to set up on 3 PM Friday and stay until Sunday at 5 PM.

    I don't get how people with RVs are blown away by that.

    Trying to compare to our peers doesn't take into account that we are in the middle of festival country. We also have parks, concerts, and outdoor activities that cost way less than a tailgate spot inside of a 50+ year old gravel lot. In other words, we have competition around here that other places in our conferences don't outside of Atlanta and Mobile.
