UL Football How to pack Cajun Field against Texas State?

The University needs to start pushing this game now! I know it’s 2 weeks but if ESPN 2 or the U pick it up we need to show we can pack the stadium.

We need to push a Southern Miss style promotion when we played them last year in Hattiesburg, for the Texas State game!

Do we need to start issuing an apology to all the Greek organizations?

The issues that have driven fans away still exist. Until UL decides to visibley fix these issues, 22k or 50% full stadium will be about the max...it's a boring, loud, expensive experience...

Start advertising it now. Don't wait for ESPN to decide. Just say it's est. 2:30. If ESPN decides it's 3 then it's 30 minutes more to tailgate. Also they need to work with the Abbeville cattle festival. Have them move up their parade from 2 to 12 so people can catch the game. Idk what else is going on but they should reach out to any big groups like they did for Gulf brew

    They've already started: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=...67970735374424

Now don't get me wrong -- this is just the bare minimum. But it's encouraging to see at least this.

Halftime raffle for a year's worth of free Alesi's pizza/Chik-Fil-A. Must be present to win.

    Guaranteed sellout.

Free parking inside of the gates and free tailgating. Maggard should be on every news outlet promoting it right now. Bring back Krewe De Chew as well.

    Easy-ish?
    ---------
    1. Social media blitz
    2. Traditional media blitz (Local TV news appearances/terrestrial radio appearances)
    3. $10 GA tickets (push Cajundome Box Office early and often to avoid fees)
    4. On-campus promotions (signs, SGA engagement, social media like Volleyball asking trivia questions)
    5. Word of mouth advertising among admin/fans (bring one extra person with you)
    6. Promote YRCC (surprised how many of my family-aged friends aren't aware)
    7. Utilize partners in the community with large online presence (Downtown Lafayette, Developing Lafayette, etc) to get the word out

    Moderately difficult (requires additional people/planning)
    ---------
    1. $20 first-come-first-serve general admission parking inside CF
    2. First-come-first-serve $45 tailgate spots at Blackham with free parking (fee goes towards porta potties) /w Cajundome BLVD shuttle
    3. Pick a loss leader on concessions menu and promote it ($1 hotdogs instead of $6?)
    4. Offer free tickets/swag to people running for local public office (mayoral candidates, city/parish councils, school board, tax assessors, etc.) TSAB is away, so most will be in town hungry to shake-hands and make their presence known via social media

Requires long-term planning (possibly already in the works with renovated stadium?)
    ---------
    1. RFID POS system (Festival International does it)
    2. Overhaul tailgate rules (how can we fill it back up? Costs, locations, reduction in perks? tiered options? (trash pick-up, porta-potty wrist bands, etc.))
