It's just a difference of opinion on something that would take a lot of work and polling to confirm if it even could.
I do know one person I work with that went to UL and only supports TSAB. Aside from that, the people I know, went to school with and work with that graduated from UL fall into one of three categories. They are UL fans only, support both or another school, or are just not concerned with sports altogether. I also know some TSAB graduates that do not have sports on their radar at all. But that's just one person's circle and perception.
Regardless, we agree that our university needs to do a better job influencing and cultivating its own graduates. You've got 4 years to indoctrinate, and it should be easy to get a large percentage of graduates to get in the boat. Heck, when I started at UL, I was not a college sports fan at all. I left a diehard, so it worked on me.
Of only there was a way for grads to retain ownership of their university experience email...
It would go a long way in their staying connected.
Every Saturday home game for 4 years we had pre game at our fraternity house with roughly 60 guys. That changed every year due to graduation. Always some going out and some coming in. I would say about 80% of those guys when I talk to them today they call LSU us and UL y’all since they know I am a big cajuns.
I can say that same thing for some of my high school class mates as well one has an undergrad and masters from here.
That is more of the normal not the exception for the vast majority of people I know close to me or just casually.
