I just rewatched it, I will say this, I think it was a little bit of both. Williams could have fought threw it and tried to help his QB out, no question about that. But that play should not have been called and that throw should not have been attempted. He would have been better off throwing that ball either out of bounds or into the ground at someone's feet towards the sideline. He put too much air under it and it turned into a 50/50 ball that Williams did not attempt to make a play on.

Coach admitted in the press conference Zeon was trying to throw the ball away and there are better ways to throw the ball away than what he did. He basically said the INT was on Zeon because he was trying to throw an incomplete pass and did it poorly.

He took responsibility for the first one before half, saying it was an error in play calling, saying this was a play that Zeon had not run many times and he should not have put him in that situation plus it was micommunication between the QB and WR But the one in the second half was on Zeon. I still agree that Rob should have made a better effort.

If a defense can create havoc rushing four, that team should win every game. We do that until we get a lead. Then the scheme changes and we play not to lose.

That's why asked if we should go 5 front. Especially when the score is 30+to7 and we need to keep the margin.

Special Teams is an F- right now. Luke Paschall, what is going on? Literally nothing coming out of the PR unit. KO team can't stay in their lanes (the most basic teach in the book) and KO specialist can't keep the ball in the field of play.

Lamar, again, goes to a 3 technique late in the 3rd quarter and Buffalo starts ripping off chunks of yardage. Absolutely no adjustments. Just continued the soft zone, 10 yard cushion on the islands, no pressure BS. F-

Offensive play calling in the second half was F- again. How do you get away from the run game up 31-7? Just plain stupid.

Point is, we are WAY too talented defensively to be having these collapses defensively and it's not on the players.
Right on, tried of seeing BAD COACHING DECISIONS.
Dez, you better start looking hard at Coaching Staff and the decisions they’re making

I thought so as well. But when they replayed it from a different angle the ball was where it needed to be. But Williams never looked for the pass, nor attempted to catch or break it up. He simply never saw it.

We scored 14 more points after 31-7. Not sure that’s a F- offense.

Was that the first or second interception?

According to CMD it was a mistake by ZC with a poor throw. The coach added he needed better coaching on getting rid of the ball. I don’t recall him mentioning the receiver.

I’m confident ZC will not make the same mistakes too often going forward. Learning from mistakes in a win is a good thing. He will show the difference maker he really is this Saturday!!! I got a feelin’

Like we talked about before the game, ZC and a young receiver corps will make mistakes. It's just part of the deal. But thank goodness the OLine is playing at a high level and the defense is ridiculously talented. It gives Zeon some margin for error and gives the WR corp some time to develop. But for goodness sake, THROW THE BALL TO THE TIGHT FREAKING END.

I agree with you, it was both. First, it wasn't a bad play call because they are not asking him to read much, with only 1 or 2 options. Second, they are letting him do what he is more comfortable with, throwing to his right whether it's a Naked Bootleg or RPO. It was a Fade that should have been thrown with more air under the ball, although the receiver did stop on the route.

The one play that should have been an interception was to the left sideline and he had the option to throw it away or run. He chose to force it and was fortunate that it wasn't intercepted. They aren't asking him to do much, simple reads with 1 or 2 options. As he matures, he will get better. But with a young QB and Receivers, there will be growing pains.

With this young QB, all 1st and goals should lead to read options until we score, and we will, every time.

F- special teams with a kicker that's perfect on the season?
