Two plays, a muffed punt and a brain fart INT turned this whole thing from a blowout to that. But, sure, the problem was “play calling”….in a game where we put up 38 offensive points and 500+ yards of offense.

A few quick thoughts:
1. We didn't get enough pressure on the Buffalo QB in the 2nd half.
2. We need a solution for punt returns. We can't keep coughing up the football.
3. Take the points when you can, don't overthink it.
The positive takeaway is, it's really the best of both worlds. We learned some lessons and still got the W.
That was ugly.
Random thoughts:
- 3 muffs in 4 games. No explosiveness is worth that. Move on.
- Playcalling early on was mind boggling. 50/50 balls down the sideline on 3rd & 7 and 4th & 2? I think we expected to be able to run the ball more consistently and that threw us off.
- Seems any team who goes uptempo is gonna give us fits. Feels like the game is happening too fast for Lamar in those moments. Burned 2 timeouts one drive. Another UB doesn’t substitute, runs hurry up, and we get caught with a 12th man (defensive tackle) not even close to making it off the field.
- 2 100 yard rushers. Over 7 ypc. This felt like an all or nothing game though. Big run or stuffed.
- Aside from the one inexplicable thrown Zeon played well. First INT just looked like a miscommunication. Broussard stopped his route, maybe noticing curling off was his best chance at getting open.
- End of UAB game was awful. We somehow topped it today. Not too many wins left on the schedule if we can’t clean that up.

Coming off today's loss, M will be looking to right the ship.
Well that just ain't gonna happen.
So does our football team. Our fans leave at halftime every game. That is another problem.
. . . only half the team . . . they pitched a shutout the first half and figured they were done as did the fans . . .
