Do you think they would accept? Right now, the 'Belt is in the lead in football, and football is the big money-maker.

With that, we are hearing that some of the AAU schools want out, and are looking it at us.

I'm not sure I would want UL to go to the AAU. Their media funding package is better, but I'm not sure that will be true after the next round of negotiations.

I personally do not know if they would go or not, but they fit the AAC profile. They have a huge market (Atlanta) and a huge student enrollment, 52,000, 33,000 of which are undergrads.

Looking ahead, that is what we need to do. They (AAC) sure seems to be headed along the same path as cusa, and we know how that ended up.

We (sbc) continues to improve, I think we all should be happy to coninue that growth, IMO.

    AAU????
AAC isn’t a step up. The senior program’s getting much more ESPN money than the recent teams such as FAU.

GAST would accept in a heartbeat. They’ve been mentioned as a AAC target because of media market. GAST is no different than the rest of the egotists in the AAC; all big market teams but they’re not the big draw.

UL is staying put until the SBCE breaks away.

GSU was approached last time. There’s even less money to move this time.

    Breaks away to what?

Their schedule is about to get rough, but if last night is any indication, they are a pretty solid team. Here is their upcoming schedule:

    Home vs Troy
    Home vs Marshall
    Away vs Louisiana
    Away vs Georgia Southern
    Home vs JMU
    Home vs App
    Away vs LSU
    Away vs ODU

Not one easy game on this schedule, but getting Troy, Marshall, JMU and App at home really helps.

Troy was suspected to win the west, Marshall was suspected to contend for the east, UL was suspected to be in the top half of the west, Georgia Southern is a rivalry game, JMU might be the best team in the conference, App was suspected to contend for the east and is playing very well right now, LSU is a Top 25 team and we all think that ODU is much better than we thought when the season started.

They don't have an easy game left, but they also could win every one of them with maybe the exception of LSU.
It would be great if a Sunbelt team beat TSAB. They would lose their minds.

An SBC team already beat them. That school is Troy if I recall right.

Grayson McCall looked really bad last night, and has not looked like the great QB he has been made out to be all year.

    Just an observation

He still looks pretty good to me. Maybe his compliment of receivers aren’t as good, and his head coach isn’t as good either n
