    Great interview and very informative.

"The power is in the army."

Really appreciate his foresight in going after all potential donors, not just the big ones. He really does seem like the ideal person to be heading up a collective in terms of his experience in college athletics, interactions with student athletes, and ability to go out and meet with business leaders.

Question I would like to ask John: if you have $x in discretionary income, should it go to RCAF or Krewe Allons? Split?

. . . these funding sources satisfy two totally different functions . . . RCAF generates funds to support athletics, not necessarily athletes . . . they are are the primary source of boosting coaches salaries . . . Krewe Allons generates funds to support athletes in the form of NIL . . . RCAF cannot legally do that . . .

That is a very good question.

We have an RCAF board meeting in a few weeks. I will ask the question about giving to RCAF or the collective. I am a little torn and do not know the answer. If we quit giving to RCAF, I know we won't have to worry about the collective because the athletes will not be coming here. Without the RCAF, we would not have the facilities that we have.

I agree there needs to be a discussion about giving and where the need for money is the greatest.

Thanks everyone for listening. I enjoyed this podcast a lot. I could have spoken to him for hours. We talked a lot offline, getting to know each other. I believe John will be a great asset. I like his thinking that every little bit helps and going after corporate sponsors.
