Interest in that basketball is taking the lead in the NIL initiative. The October 12 event will likely sell out. Goal of 150 grand raised is likely to be exceeded. Getting the ex players involved is probably part of the reason for the early success. I know the basketball staff and administration want to bring new people beyond the regular Rebounders folk into this effort. The ex players probably help with that. Also, timing may be a reason basketball is first with this initiative as their season is a few weeks away. I understand football will have events down the road. Their NIL needs are substantial, obviously greater than basketball due to roster numbers. However hard to do while staff and players are so focused on doing what it takes to have a successful season. I bet their event may occur during spring practice.
We will be okay.
Excellent post Mike! One correction; 60 tables max for the event, 8 per table…480 attendees. Drago’s “Sippin’ In The Sunset” Friday’s will alternate teams. Basketball will be the first one on Friday 9/29.
Please note…40% of food and drink sales purchased at the patio window goes to the Collective. INSIDE ORDERS WILL NOT BENEFIT THE ATHLETES. Purchase only at the patio window and OFTEN!!
So how does one give directly to the collective Allons?
wanted to post this here as well. Please reach out if you have any questions. It is also posted all over my social media sites.
Thanks
Here are a couple of other NIL Collectives.
A good interview with the head of New Mexico St’s #NIL collective @AMTNSPORTS.

He describes collectives/schools as being in 1 of 3 groups.
1. “Other worldly”
2. In the game
3. Not in the game
Pretty accurate.
I’d add another category between 1 and 2: “highly competitive.” https://t.co/8ph19njfnS pic.twitter.com/xjj8P9gbDd
