Buffalo went 0-3 with an FCS loss to start ‘22.
They were in a bowl game. Cajuns can’t take them lightly.

Did Craig give you an advanced copy of our PodCast and my written breakdown? Just kidding.

After their 0-3 start they got to the easy part of their schedule. MAC conference games.

While scheduling has never been easier, what Maggard pulled off at the 11 o'clock hour was still amazing.

On your NIL tranfer tangent. I don't see how that impacts scheduling games.
. . . my NIL transfer is not a tangent at all . . . what you get in most instances is not what you scheduled at the time . . . and thus when sports enthusiasts on sports message boards grade your scheduling by what you get as opposed to what you scheduled, and you can't do anything about it at that time, it will be found to not be a tangent . . .

He was tasked with finding a game of any kind.

What was available and what he pulled off was sweet.

. . . if you can't tell that my comment related to scheduling in general and not the feat he pulled off for this particular game, I can't help you . . .

He could have gotten an FCS game in about five minutes. TAMU-Commerce was looking. He knew that.

A 6-6 regular season against a bunch of teams who probably couldn’t win a high school state championship in Texas. Our standards have changed a lot from being a top 25 team to saying we can’t take Buffalo lightly in a mere 2 years time. Lol

We aren't in a position to take anyone lightly. That included teams we played in 2021. We won seven games by a touchdown or less.

Just looked at our schedules from 1997 -2010, we played multiple P-5's (and AAC).

1997: Pittsburgh, Ok. St., Texas Tech, TAMU, Washington St., Tulane
1998: Arkansas, UCF, Tulane, Oklahoma St.
1999: Ok. St, Texas Tech, Houston, Washington St., Tulane
    2000: Texas, Texas Tech, Tulane
    2001: Minnesota, Arizona St, UCF
2002: TAMU, Minnesota, Houston, LSU, Arkansas
2003: South Carolina, Houston, Minnesota, Ok. St.
    2004: Kansas St.
    2005: Texas, UCF
    2006: LSU, TAMU, Houston
    2007: South Carolina, UCF, Tennessee
    2008: Illinois, Kansas St.
    2009: Kansas St, LSU, Nebraska
2010: Georgia, Ok. St, Ole Miss

I see a big drop off after we get to the Sunbelt, but even more starting the Hudspeth years....Why can't we get back to this type of scheduling?

We do not want to go back to 3 money games a year. That is going backwards. Honestly we are in a position now where the easier the schedule the better. We go 12-0 or 11-1 we are almost guaranteed the playoff spot.
