George Jackson is expected to be back. So James Ohonba and George may see a little bit of shuffling up front.#ragincajuns
Either Dave or Cory misunderstood Coach Dez, Cory says GJ will be back and Jax Harrington is out, but Dave said GJ is out.
Next man up
Having a QB with wheels is even more important if the OL is shaky.
Before the season started, Des mentioned in an interview one place we struggled at was scoring TDs when reaching the redzone. I think that's where a QB with wheels shines in modern CFB. Can just spread the field out and if your first 1-2 reads aren't there on a rollout, run it in. Levi excelled at this.
Jackson did not play last week. Did not make trip. He was shaky against Northwestern but much improved against ODU. OL had it's best game against UAB without Jackson. That was with Quentin Williams and Ohnoba alternating at RT. Williams was supposed to be the starter prior to the season. Injury is why he did not play in Games 1 and 2. I think he got the bulk of the snaps last Saturday. With Jackson, moving to RG, I think our OL will be fine against Buffalo. I don't think it will be shaky at all. We will have 6 of our top 7 guys in that unit available which is how it has been all 3 games. Hopefully Jax Harrington returns soon and we can have 7 of top 7 available.
Did Macky Mahilo (sp)? get in at tackle anti UAB? Waiting for him to develop. Man mountain.
I think Caden Moreau played in Jax’s spot most of the UAB game.
