    UL Football Kenneth Almendares

I don’t want to jinx him. But we have a real weapon in Almendares. Kid has worked for a long time to be the guy and he is proving the last 2 seasons how good he can be.

I think he has hit 16 straight. And last night he easily hit a 46 yarder.

He is definitely a bright spot of special teams so far.

Remember when kicking a FG was just an anxiety ridden experience?

Still find it amazing that Billy’s teams won so much with such inconsistent kicking.

. . . hell, getting the ball to the holder was anxiety ridden . . .

Getting the ball to the punter was impossible in a game we won!

I always wonder why some of the higher star ranked kicking recruits don't go to more mid majors where they would likely kick more, esp. Punters. In the heyday of bama and the like marching down the field nearly every time they don't get to hone their craft as much

    Most consistent since Brett Baer.

I remember when I’d rather go for 4th and long than a field goal attempt inside the 20

Kenny had a terrible game against Troy last season. I am sure he felt he cost his team the contest. Since that game he has been money. I wonder what caused the change.
