I’m driving 4 hours and bringing 6 to the game. I hope people around Lafayette can travel 20 minutes to go to the game.

I have said this before. I drive 1 hour and 15 min from Cenla to go to the games and get a hotel room for the night games. I would hope Acadiana can just show up for the short drive and sleep in their own beds. Geaux Cajuns!

Acadiana just doesn’t know what they have in Lafayette to have an FBS team minutes from your homes until you move elsewhere ! It is great entertainment !

I lived just a few blocks away from Cajun Field, and though I actually went to the games, it is not the same when you move to a town with the only football being a crappy high school team. Man I miss going to Cajuns events!

It’s only a factor because we haven’t developed a fan base the proper way. We aren’t competing for national championships, or hosting teams that bandwagon fans care about.

So we have to approach building a stronger, more loyal fan base through student participation. Grow student organizations and create a bond through athletics. We have failed to do that for the last three decades.

You don't but so many of our casual fans do. Lafayette is filled with UL grads who send their money to LSU and are in Tiger stadium for home games. Its the sad and ugly truth.
