I wish our fans would stay the whole game. By the time 4th quarter started there were maybe 4000 people there
Agree, but to keep the casual fan engaged and drive attendance you must:
1. Schedule good/intriguing/known opponents
2. Win games
3. Have a great in stadium & Gameday experience
We CONSTANTLY miss on at least two of the three.
Our scheduling does little to drive interest from the community during a world of ESPN+ and other streaming opportunities for fans to watch more games for lower cost in the comfort of their living room.
We have to figure out a differentiating factor that will get, and keep, the casual Acadiana household interested.
Starts with the OOC scheduling...and while the pre game has gotten better and a bit more exciting, it's not what it could be...
As long as the band continues with "YAM Sunshine" and Jambalaya I can again state there's nothing Ragin or Cajun about pregame...hype video is great BTW!
Speaking of the song Jambalaya being played as a crowd sing along is about as Cajun as the "gumbo" made in Wisconsin....geeze us, it's not that difficult to get it right...
. . . we should have had none . . . zero . . . it’s what was requested and demanded by the powers that be and the resident idiot . . . you know, the one that JMV is always slobbing the knob on . . .
UL paid Buffalo 300k...Buffalo will pay UL $200k for the return trip...if UL is going in the hole by 100k, then Maggards argument for not playing better competition 2 for 1 is bogus and a smoke screen for having weak OOC scheduling...
