I did some vehicle graphics work for him in the early 1980s.
At the time he had invested in Ray Chevrolet in Abbeville.
My only encounter.
Nice guy, financially cautious.
I’m tired just reading all of his accomplishments. How did he live so long with all that stress??????
. . . accomplishments are a means of stress relief for the accomplished . . .
Navy vet, sounds good!
97 is a long life and I hope his family celebrated his life. Just buried my 104 year old grandmother. Amazing the things they saw in their lifetime.
Prayers to the Moody family. I wonder if any of the RP lawyers ever had the privileges to work in his accounting firm?
My Mom's first job was with BI in Crowley. She was first cousin to BIs wife, TT.
Any relation to Bill Moody who played basketball for Louisiana in 1949?
Even at 97, life is but a vapor. Make every day count brothers!
Be grateful
Be humble
Be confident
Be yourself
Love your neighbor as yourself
Worked for him when he started the CrowleyPost Herald...They said it didn't have a chance. Since then many endeavors he proved them all wrong. I loved him and considered him more as a father than a boss.
"Eat at a local restaurant tonight. Get the cream sauce. Have a cold pint at 4 o’clock in a mostly empty bar. Go somewhere you’ve never been. Listen to someone you think may have nothing in common with you. Order the steak rare. Eat an oyster. Have a negroni. Have two. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyways. Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself. Enjoy the ride.”
