The man who allegedly robbed the Valero’s Corner Store in Abbeville now sits behind prison bars at the Vermilion Parish Jail.
The Abbeville Police Department arrested Dwayne Broussard, 27, Tuesday morning and charged him with armed robbery.
Broussard allegedly confessed to Abbeville Detective R.J. Thibodeaux that he committed the crime after he was recognized by the clerks of Valero’s.
He was charged with armed robbery for stealing $60 from Valero's. He faces a sentence of anywhere from nine years to 99 years.
