Well then that isn’t saying much about Des considering he compared their offense to Tennessee… who is an up tempo offense. It’s like if our basketball coach said team A plays just like Arkansas’ 40 minutes of hell and then is surprised when they get pressed all game. I don’t believe that one bit.
It was a combination of the two. Their wideouts were faster than our CB's and we had some poor jams at the line of scrimmage that led to getting beat over the top.
ODU is going to put up points this season, it is going to be a question if they can stop other teams enough. They stopped us (or we stopped ourselves) just enough to get the win.
One play doesn't determine a game, but I thought the reverse fumble on 2nd & 6 was a big play. We were into a good rhythm and didn't need to get that fancy. Although there were no turnovers in the game, that is as close to a TO as it can get.
