nothing ever fails for one reason. colossal failure requires failure at multiple levels. thats precisely what we have here. everyone is to blame. the difference is we the alumni supporters fans etc cant change anything until leadership within the university hierarchy decides to make the proper decisions with how we do business and how we sell ourselves to the masses. nothing will ever change until someone with vision for academics via the power of athletics is truly in control in lafayette, la. they can blame the people all they want to. in the end the decision makers have long let down the people that make our university special

In order to determine fair market value for Coach Des, lets take us (Ragin Cajuns) completely out of the scenario. The question now becomes:

Would any other NCAA D1 football program in the country have hired Coach Des as head coach for the same amount we are paying him?

If the answer is yes, then we got a fair deal.
If the answer is no, then we overpaid.
