Its still hard to believe we lost that game last night, but then again the play calling was mind boggling at the end. Defense was terrible.
Des said at the beginning of the year that we need to win close games this year unlike last year. Well Epic fail number 1 close game.
The only good thing is, the season is young. Lots of football to be played.

Lamar Morgan is the person who should be getting roasted today. If you are not lined up correctly IN THE SECOND HALF that is on the defensive coaches. I would expect teams to cont to play uptempo on us. Complete embarrassment for the defensive players and coaches.

Have to agree on defense- The d
at times is not set with players coming in and out. This has been the case under this defense two years. Odu went into a speed up off and Cajuns not ready.
This has to be corrected now.
Also, special teams hurt us badly but rebounded in second half
All of this hopefully will be corrected by next week.
Season is young and much more football to be played.

People may not like it, but you're not wrong. The attendance during the Napier years was embarrassingly low for the quality product he put on the field. The fanbase cant complain about the admin cutting corners when the fanbase cut corners. I promise you that if we had the number of fans like we had during hud while Napier was coach, we'd be talking about another elite level coach here. Thats how cold hard facts work.

That said, Des isnt dead yet, but he had better figure this ____ out. He knows as well as we all do, he's got one shot at this, and if he screws up, there's no other job just chomping at the bit to take a cajun reject, See literally every other coach we had in the history of our program.

Attendance numbers were actually on the way up for Napier’s tenure. Not as quickly as some would have liked, but that’s what we get for doing half the job. Example: App State 2019 we market our butts off for once. Get 20k on a Wednesday. ATROCIOUS gameday atmosphere. I had people come to the game who aren’t regulars go to concessions in the 2nd quarter and not come back until after halftime. It was so bad we had to issue an apology and a revamped strategy for concessions. Those are the facts. We want it all for half off.

I, tried to tell you guys last year you pay peanuts you get monkeys. If I wanted to watch a high school coach and coaching staff I would go watch Mabank High, Forney High, North Vermilion High, Abbeville High, etc. Entry level coaching gets the Cajuns entry level results. Maggard had a chance to strike while the iron was hot and dropped the ball. When only 12K folks go to the next game they will only have them selves to blame. The renovations of Cajun Field will be the biggest blunder in all of sports when only 12K will be in a new 36K stadium. Yall got the prodigal son courtesy of the good ole boy system. Is it softball and baseball season yet?

After getting over my drunk depression of the loss.
Offense really was not bad. Although play calling was at the end.
Defense was absolutely terrible.
Special teams were terrible.
Why can't this coaching staff put a complete game together all on facets of the game!

Don’t you guys realize, all that was built on recruitment was destroyed by NIL monies and “the easy to leave” transfer portal. The NCAA is no longer an amateur sporting event but SEMI-PRO BALL. Yes we are starting over, with new , young talent. I WANT Coach DEZ to success

We hired a head coach who no other FBS program would have even considered for a coordinator job. He was not qualified. It’s not to say that he won’t grow in to it, but all growing pains will be on UL’s dime.
