Losing Trey Amos and Kam P were big factors in my view. We may not have financial resources to compete like we did in Napier years. World has changed greatly in 2 years. Those finances are not necessarily community support. I am talking about individuals who can help with NIL. On the field, it will be interesting to see if defensive coaches can adjust to fast pace kscheme ODU used last night. Of course opponents will incorporate some of that into their plans.
Not putting this all on Des, but just a fact about this team/staff’s record. Starting in 22’, all of their wins are by double digits. They are 0-5 in 1 score games.
To compete like in the Napier years, maybe so. We were routinely beating out P5 programs for talent. Let’s actually put our young players in a position to succeed before we completely toss in the towel and say we just can’t compete financially though. Games like last night and ULM last year were not lost due to lack of resources. We were woefully out coached.
Saving that 1st 1 score win for Minneapolis.
Alright. Re group.
Let’s beat UAB. Then Beat Buffalo and we are back on track.
Not like we didn't try to adjust. We threw 3, 4, and 5 man fronts at them. We weren't lightly toasted; they burned us every which way. They flat out-coached us in all three phases. That should not happen to an experienced coaching staff. Place the blame at the top. He is the boss. Sorry, no excuses for happened last night.
