Been there. Not impressed. They're lucky to be in the same conference with Louisiana.

I'm serious. You're placing a lot of importance on football and tailgating.

Football is what drives the bus. Outside of the deep south, nobody gives a ____ about softball and baseball. App has tradition, a campus setting, and fan support that UL only dreams of. Their fans drive in on game weekends from 2-4 hours away, every game. UL fans don't care enough to even cross town, most games.

App is a jewel. My only complaint about the SBC growing is not being able to play them annually

They aren’t going anywhere. The SBC is in the power position. Aresco has looked like a fool throughout the last three shuffling.

Kieth Gill needs to get ESPN to shell out $10M per team.

. . . Keith Gil needs to tell ESPN that Louisiana is Houston, ULM is Nashville, Texas St is Dallas, etc. . . . we wear red on Fridays and they need to give the Sunbelt $140,000,000 . . . there we go . . .

As long as the AAC has a bigger media payout than the Sun Belt, I wouldn’t be so sure about any school turning down an invite.

The difference in media payouts between the SBC and the latest additions to the AAC is minimal. Between exit/entrance fees, any school looking to jump to the AAC will need several years to recoup their cost of switching at best. Probably never will. It is just not worth it unless you are leaving for personal reasons, like Texas State would have to be with their fellow Texans.

Nobody else is even considering it at this point.
