At his belt is what he said. It was so bad that collinsworth was calling 74 another slot receiver. I don’t get into all the nfl is rigged garbage but it’s not hard to see there’s certainly a bias towards the new golden boy and the defending champs. Especially in opening night where they get the rings and drop the banner. Hutchinson was eating that guys lunch all night and even with 74’s head starts, he was still holding on almost every play. I know you can say they can call holding on every play but some of them were egregious on top of his early starts and alignment. Overall it was a pretty entertaining opening game and I’m glad the lions pulled it off. Always love seeing new blood in the league especially when one of our own is on that team.

    What's a banner?

It was awful last night, there were a couple of plays where the holding was so bad that you just expected the flag to come out and could not believe it didn't. I don't believe in the conspiracy crap either, but anyone watching that game could tell that the refs were either as cognitively declining as Joe Biden or they were just biased towards the Chiefs. It is amazing that the Lions pulled that game out with as bad as the refereeing was.

Unfortunately he lost his starting job and didn't record a single stat last night

That is unfortunate. It’s tough coming back from the type of injury he had. Hopefully he works his way back in.

  6. UL Football Louisiana Football G2 Preview: at Old Dominion

After cruising to a 38-13 win in the opening week of the 2023 season, the Louisiana football team heads to the east coast to face Old Dominion in the team's Sun Belt Conference opener.

Kickoff from S.B. Ballard Stadium in Norfolk, Virginia, is slated for 5 p.m. CT with the game streaming on ESPN+ and can be heard locally on Hot 107.9 FM, The GOAT 103.3, ESPN 1420 AM, and globally via the Varsity Network.

The Ragin' Cajuns (1-0, 0-0 SBC) started the year with a bang as Dre'lyn Washington took the team's second play from scrimmage 62 yards for a touchdown. Ben Wooldridge had a strong return from injury, accounting for four touchdowns with three coming through the air. The Cajun ground attack was nearly unstoppable, racking up 206 yards, 6.1 yards per carry and rushing for two scores.

The defense allowed just 187 yards of total offense, their lowest total since 2016, and eight first downs. They held Northwestern State to 2-of-19 on third down and just 77 yards on the ground. The defensive front had a field day with five sacks, including a pair by Jordan Lawson.

Saturday's game is the inaugural meeting between the Cajuns and the Monarchs (0-1, 0-0 SBC), who enter their second season in the SBC. The Monarchs are coming off a 3-7 season in 2022 with a 2-6 SBC record, with wins over Arkansas State and Coastal Carolina. Last week, they fell at Virginia Tech, 36-17, despite a rushing attack that ran for 201 yards.

Admittedly, I'm not sure of the rule.

But if you can only have 7 people on the line of scrimmage, doesn't it appear (wth the right tackle so far back) that the slot receiver at the top of the image is at least even with, and maybe even in front of, the right tackle?

And wouldn't that make him ineligible?

Also, the image is blurry and I'm blind, but does it look like even the right guard is even a little farther back, allowing the right tackle to line up that much farther back? Making it appear that he may be in a legal position on the line?
