Ahh. Thanks. You hit the nail on the head/turned on the light bulb with adding "in the future" thanks much

When the freshmen are welcomed to the university with tee shirts saying “Welcome to the Bayou” while 1) we have a signature piece of real estate, a swamp on our campus, no bayou, and 2) a rival, perceived by others outside of UL, has a bayou thru their campus and has used it for decades as a reference point, that is the definition of USLing it. Many people use it and will continue to use it. Besides, ——ed up isn’t allowed on this board.

. . . are we really going to diminish Louisiana to a local restaurant . . . Geeze, how many really think Lafayetteian’s are going or not going to Louisiana athletic events based upon what they see from Congress or Bertrand . . . CF parking lot should be used to the max possible but not because of that . . . maybe because there are fans who would go if they could park in the fences of CF but not because they may go because the CF parking lot is full . . . another new low on RP . . .

. . . and it is a no brainer that we should use The Swamp instead of the bayou . . .

And the response we sometimes get to those concerns is " you are not loyal." Wrong. We are very loyal. Otherwise, we would just sit there and not say anything while you fail.

At the end of the day, WE are the customer.
Tim Leger said at QB club our goal is to challenge for one of the 12 spots once playoffs expand. That is a stretch goal of course but setting something like that is how you improve. There will be hiccups of course but not getting discouraged when they occur is the key to progress.

Perception is a big deal. The same issue extends beyond the views from Congress and Bertrand. Any time someone in Acadiana sees a picture of a poorly attended home game, it's the same effect on perception. Same as the casual fan seeing an empty East side during an ESPN+ game.

I think that broadcasting the game from the East side which was mentioned a few weeks ago on here will help improve ESPN+ perception. Stadium renovation will give the fickle Lafayette crowd something new and shiny to attend. And yea, a packed parking lot would not hurt perception.

Not a stretch. We just finished ranked #16 two times out of the last 3 years.

True...but not on this board LOL.

I think part of the problem is when things go well or improve we are too busy _____ing about something else that we don't think is right.

Go back and read VO's critique on game one. Everything he said was on point. And, there are ways to improve on what was good.
His “critique” on game one was a final conclusion of a game day experience grade of A++. Very on brand that this would be your idea of an acceptable critique.

    . . . so do you take issue with VOB’s very thorough critique . . .

There won’t be a playoff spot available.

. . . I didn’t realize they showed CF parking on the TV . . . I guess next we going to equate CMD with a good or bad waitress . . .

I welcome any critiques. Even those some would perceive to be “negative.”
