It’s always weird to me that people who went to UL don’t claim the school on their socials. Must have some identity issues. My affiliation with this university is something I will ALWAYS claim.

Nothing more than a tacit connection will ever be built through academics.

Louisiana would have over a billion in "academeic" endowments if students were historically connected though the passion of athletics.

If you don't build up your own school's academic reputation you are in essence downgrading your own and doesn't that hurt your own future prospects (i.e. resume). Investing in your Alma mater ergo is an investment in yourself, is it not

Definitely build up the academic reputation.

In the end though, it will never (by itself) organically induce huge identity gains.

When will we ever get to the point where we refuse to allow others to create our identity. We are more worried about McNeese, Tulane and LSU than we are about Louisiana. It’s really time that we get our heads out of other teams butts and stand tall as Louisiana . . . Hey, give it a try, it might be fun as opposed to showing up here everyday as your miserable selves and posting about other schools . . .
