It's a RPCA kind of morning....
The sky is falling and we will lose every game because we won last night and our offense was sloppy…. Said all of ragin paging…. Offensive line was bad in pass protection, QB play was bad, and our TE’s dropped way to many passes… with that being said our defense is legit and better than last year.
You don’t think our pass protection is a concern?
Also, there was a standard set here from ‘19-21, so I’m sure some folks are a little worried with that is being watched.
Hopefully the defense is as legit as they looked, but again, they were going against NW St. That QB of theirs could run decent, but his arm is one of the worst our defense will see all year.
Our OLine pass protect was indeed hot garbage last night...but to continue, post after post to toss the whole line out with the entire season in front of UL is just stupid...Like 99% of all the teams that played their first game this weekend, there a lot of work to be done, yes, starting with the OLine. It's one game out of 14, some of the RCPA need to take a
step back....if the same OL issue shows up next week and the next, then fire away. But, Pass Protect has to improve...and in a hurry..
I think what is really bothering fans is that Ulm and Texas State played better competing against D1 schools than we did against an also ran lower division school... let's hope we improve because we in for a long season if we don't. LOSING TO ULM A 2ND TIME WOULD BE DISASTROUS!!!
. . . did we win . . . did Levi Lewis play QB . . . was there a late start time followed by a delayed start because of lightning and then a 30 minute injury delay where a player was carted off . . . we can’t have nice things here, like a 1 0 record . . .
Perhaps. I wouldn't mind to be honest if that means Chriss gets the keys and we're not wasting time starting another senior just because he's a senior. We have a largely young receiving corps. so it would be better next season that we play the guy that would be here the following season in order to establish some consistency.
Texas state is a bit worrisome. Happy for them. They dominated. We’ve never lost to them. I won’t be scared of them until they actually beat us.
ULM needed a miracle and they got 2 late scores to win. Army also turned it over 5 times and on 3 of their last 3 possessions. They had the game but gave it away. *See UL vs. ULM in 2022.
