Remember to Tune in to "We're Talking"

JMV, you posted something recently about who you think Ragin Review should get on their podcast to discuss certain sports in which you mentioned my name for football. First and foremost, thanks for that shoutout, it means that some people appreciate the time and effort that I put into doing my football preview breakdowns.

With that being said, while I appreciate you stating that, I have a forum and podcast that I already do with MelRock, called "We're Talking" and I have committed to MelRock to do his Podcast, not saying that I would not entertain speaking to another podcast, but to be fair to MelRock, I would not do it about the same thing I speak to him about. For instance, I have been on RR a total of once and technically, I was not on RR, Josh (MAT) interviewed me about the tennis team, while we were having a historic run, which unfortunately got derailed by injury. We taped that segment, and he then played it on RR for a short interview. We did that because MAT felt that it would be interesting to those people that did not know anything about our tennis team, and it did not interfere with what I was doing with MelRock.

I respect the guys at RR and what they do, it is hard. But my loyalties and my effort go to MelRock as he was the first to invite me on to his forum to discuss the football team and upcoming opponents. Until MelRock does not want me anymore, I will continue to use his PodCast to get my information out.

I encourage everyone on this site to listen to our podcast and others that include the Cajuns and make sure you are posting them and passing them out on all social media platforms so that more and more people can hear them.

I wish both MelRock and RR success in the future as well as Dave Schultz, Jay and everyone else that has any podcast that discusses the Cajuns athletic department, any publicity is good for our brand.

I appreciate that, I just wanted to you and others to understand my take on this. Others that go on MelRock might feel the same or different, I don't know, that is up to them. But I believe that most of the guys that MelRock has given a platform to feel the same way. No ill will to the RR guys, but I've known Mel a long time and he does a very good job and I appreciate him for what he does.

No offense to Nick and Gerry, but it's not RR without MAT. It can still be informative and interesting, but it most certainly will not be as entertaining. I will miss him on that pod.

There’s a lot of love to go around whether it’s us at RR, MelRock’s “We’re Talkin,” or any other fan podcast out there that covers the Cajuns. I think we all have our own niche, and that’s a good thing.
